Tennyson Down & the Needles
As part of the Isle of Wight Walking festival, bring your dog for a classic coastal walk along the chalk cliffs of Tennyson Down from Freshwater Bay to The Needles. Discover the history and landscapes of the Needles Headland – in support of RSPCA Isle of Wight.
Length of walk: 6 miles (approx 3.5 hours)
Walk Cost: Voluntary donation requested but not obligatory. RSPCA Isle of Wight – £5 donation requested; either cash on the day, or online Click Here

Start Location: Freshwater Bay – in front of Albion Hotel at 10:15am
Nearest Bus Stop: Freshwater Bay (Bus 12 or Needles Breezer) – check your route: islandbuses.info
Pace of Walk: – Varying landscape with more challenging slopes. Stiles and steps to be expected on route, suitable for keen walkers and anyone who is reasonably active.
Walk grade: – Walkers need to be reasonably agile and mobile. Not suitable for walkers with mobility impairment of any kind
