Terms & Conditions for Bohemia Boarding
All owners will be required to read and sign these terms and conditions before their pet can be accepted at Bohemia Boarding Kennels & Cattery.
1. VACCINATIONS DETAILS
1.1 Animals will only be admitted upon receipt of a valid vaccination certificate see species specific information below. All animals must be current with parasite medication to protect against fleas, ticks and worms. We are currently unable to board animals that receive homoeopathic inoculations.
1.2 Cats: Cat Flu and Feline Leukaemia and proof of current parasite medication. We are unable to board cats who have previously had cat flu or herpes virus.
1.3 Dogs: Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvovirus and Kennel Cough and be current with parasite medication.
1.3.1 Dogs must have been vaccinated against Kennel Cough more than 14 days prior to check in. This is NOT part of your annual booster vaccination. If you are in any doubt, Kennel Cough vaccines can be identified on your vaccination card/certificate as ‘Intrac’ (which lasts for 6 months) or ‘Nobivac KC (which lasts for 12 months). This is caused by an airborne infection and thus outside of the control of Bohemia Boarding.
1.3.2 We will never knowingly accept a dog with Kennel Cough, but as incubation can exceed 10 days it may not be detectable prior to arrival. The Owner therefore accepts that this hazard exists, especially at busy periods.
1.3.3 We require all dogs to have received a broad-spectrum of effective worming treatment within 6 months of admittance.
1.4 We require copies of valid vaccination certificate(s) and request that you provide these at the time of booking or upon animal check in.
1.5 We reserve the right to decline animal check-in without proof of valid vaccination/parasite care and deposits will be non-refundable should check-in be declined.
2. OVERSEAS RESCUED, IMPORTED OR DOGS WITH TRAVEL HISTORY (BRUCELLA CANIS)
2.1 We require all dogs who are from overseas, imported or have a travel history to have been tested using the UK APHA recommended Brucella Canis SAT and Brucella Canis iELISA and have had a negative result. A copy of the results must be provided to us. The test must be performed no earlier than 3 months after the last known potential exposure. A pre-import test alone is not considered as proof of a negative status.
2.2 We reserve the right to not board or cancel your booking if your dog has clinical signs that are compatible with Brucella Canis or we have a concern that your dog or other dogs in the household have a high risk of Brucella Canis or has not been UK tested using the APHA Brucella Canis SAT and Brucella Canis iELISA or if they have received a positive test result.
3. MEDICAL RECORDS
3.1 If an animal has a medical condition of any sort, we must be notified at the time of the booking.
3.2 If we have not been notified of such a condition or course of medication, we reserve the right to refuse admission.
3.3. We reserve the right to refuse to board any dog or cat that is clearly unwell, in severe distress or that our qualified team consider could be dangerous to our staff.
