We’re thrilled to share that we’ve received a £5,000 grant from Petplan Charitable Trust as part of our ‘Here for you’ initiative.
As a small, independent charity—aligned with, but only minimally funded by, the RSPCA—this support couldn’t have come at a more crucial time. With very limited reserves, our ability to reach the Island’s most vulnerable pet owners has been challenging.
Thanks to Petplan, we can expand our work with local food banks and begin offering more help with neutering, microchipping, vaccinations, education and in-house care.
We’ve already seen firsthand the consequences of limited access to animal welfare: from young cats having litters before their first birthdays to tragic outcomes due to lack of support. This month alone, we’ve taken in four pregnant stray cats who gave birth to 13 kittens.
This funding allows us to build a stronger, more compassionate safety net—helping people care for and keep their pets at home, where many of them belong.
We’ll be working closely with food banks, local vets, and community partners to measure our impact and ensure this grant truly changes lives—both human and animal.
