This is Bailey, he’s a two and a half year old crossbreed that came to us due to a change in circumstance.
We don’t know a great deal about Bailey’s past but he is a very friendly little dog that loves fuss, attention and a lap to fall asleep on. He can be shy to begin with but warms up to people very quickly. The previous carers noted that he can guard toys at times which is a behaviour we are monitoring at the center and because of this we feel he would suit an adult only home where the environment is quite calm so he is able to do things at his own pace.
Bailey spends time out with our volunteers at the center and walks well on the lead. He has a mixed reaction to dogs, smaller ones he will ignore and walk past unless they react towards him. However he does seem to be fearful of larger dogs, he can be moved away with treats but we aren’t sure what causes this reaction.
He likes to be around people and is very sociable when he’s comfortable. He’s looking for a quiet home where he can relax and spend time with people as well as enjoy quiet walks in the countryside or having a play in the garden.
If you think you can offer Bailey his home then please head to our website and fill out the online application form.
