Get in touch with us
We are an independently registered charity, this means we are responsible for raising our own funds to carry out the important work we do for animal rescue, rehabilitation, rehoming, releasing into the wild and providing veterinary care.
We rely heavily on the community’s generosity and commitment for the welfare of animals – without this we wouldn’t be able to keep going.
There are many ways you can get involved and make a difference to an animal’s life. Here’s how you can donate;
Donate Online
The quick and easiest way to donate is online via our website and through our page; Please Donate to RSPCA Isle of Wight Branch (enthuse.com) Through this page you can also set up a monthly direct debit. You can also find various Online Donate buttons on our social media platforms – Facebook and Instagram and via our online Campaigns and Appeals. Make sure to tick the GiftAid box if you are a UK taxpayer.
Call Us
Give our friendly staff a call on 01983 840287 and let them know how much you would like to donate and they can run it through for you over the phone. If you’d like to manually set up a monthly payment, ask the team for a Standing Order Form at reception@rspca-isleofwight.org.uk.
Cheque
Make sure the cheque is made out to RSPCA Isle of Wight Branch, Bohemia Corner, Merstone Lane, Godshill, Isle of Wight, PO38 3NA and include whether you are a taxpayer, we can claim Gift Aid which allows your donation to go 25% further at no extra cost to you.
In Memory
Losing a loved one is hard, whether it’s a relative that had a love of animals or a beloved companion that crossed the rainbow bridge. Collecting in memory of them is a great way to share love and keep their memory alive. A way you can collect in memory of a loved one, could be at a funeral, in lieu of flowers or raise funds on their anniversaries/birthdays. Platforms such as Facebook fundraising, Enthuse and Just Giving – allow you to do this in your own time and you can customise to share your story.
Leave a Legacy
To make a long lasting impact for future generations to come, you can leave a Legacy in your will. There are specific wording requirements to ensure the funds come to your local branch – see below an example of the correct wording;
“I give the sum of £______(or specify percentage of estate) to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Isle of Wight Branch Registered Charity Number 205311 and I declare that the receipt of the honorary treasurer or other proper officer of the said Branch shall be a full and sufficient discharge for the said legacy. In the event of the aforesaid Branch shall no longer exist at the date of my death I give the legacy to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Wilberforce Way Southwater Horsham RH13 9RS (registered charity number 219099) for its general purposes.”
Unwanted Item Donations
We sometimes find ourselves in need of specific items – for example this winter, with the rising energy bills and the colder temperatures we were in need of blankets, duvets and towels. Our local community really stepped up and it was overwhelming with all of the donated items we received. This was led by a social media shoutout and local media coverage. Keep an eye out to see what items you could donate next time.
Animal supplies are always a need for us – if you have any surplus items or your pet has gone off their current food or you’d like to ensure our animals are getting the best treatment – please feel free to drop off any sealed and in date food items, toys, leads, collars, harnesses, bedding, small furries accessories, cat scratch posts, to our Animal Centre – Bohemia Corner, Merstone Lane, Godshill, Isle of Wight, PO38 3NA. We can also sell some of these items to our adopters, fosterers and visitors with the funds going back into the Centre.
With our charity shops we are always looking for new exciting stock so if you have any items you’d like to donate – please pop down to your nearest shop, during regular business hours, and our friendly helpful teams will be able to sort for you.
Charity Collection Pots
There are a number of Donation collection pots scattered across the Isle of Wight. Ideal to get rid of any loose change! If you’re a business and would like to have a collection pot – please contact fundraising@rspcaisleofwight.org.uk.
